Thanks to a donation from Total Merchant Systems, we will be able to accept credit card payments for this year's outing! 
It's that time of year again! Every July, since 2002, the Fund has hosted The Vanessa Grace Garr Memorial Golf Outing and Auctions, to benefit an organization that provides services for children with special needs. This is our premiere event, and thanks to our generous participants, volunteers and donors, the outing has proven to be a successful and fun time for all each year (AND it has never been rained out!). 2011 marks the tenth year for this event, and we intend to make this the FINAL... and hopefully the BIGGEST outing yet! We hope you will join us!
Beneficiary: Our beneficiary for this event is Oakwood Healthcare System's Program for Exceptional Families, located in Dearborn, Michigan.
- Directed by Dr. Susan Youngs, the Program for Exceptional Families offers comprehensive, coordinated, family-centered care for children with developmental disabilities, acquired disabilities and chronic, complex disorders. They care for over 1000 families in Southeastern Michigan. Services include development of individual healthcare plans, coordination of healthcare among physicians, collaboration with school personnel, behavioral and psychosocial support services, rehabilitation resources, family advocacy and support, and liaison with community service agencies. This center is truly one of a kind.

- 18 holes of golf with power cart
- Hot dog / hamburger lunch

- 3 hours open bar (usually ends up being 4 or 5!)

- A shot at one million dollars! (golf ticket only)

- Auction items up for bids
- Door prizes and contest winners announced
- Four lucky golfers shoot for $100,000
- One lucky golfer shoots for $1,000,000 !!!

**Note: The VGG Memorial Fund, while legally registered as a Michigan non-profit corporation, is not currently a 501(c)(3), although we are working on acquiring that tax-exempt status. This means that donations made to our Fund are not tax deductible charity contributions. However, donations made through us that are designated for a specific organization, MAY still be tax deductible if that beneficiary is a 501(c)(3) organization.
